Volunteer with Bike Bus

We're always looking for parent and community volunteers willing to help make Bike Bus even better! Please fill out the form below and let us know what you're thinking about.

Ways You Can Help

• Be a local advocate — Your kids attend or attended one of our schools and you could serve as a point person to help get a bike bus started or growing there.
• New school support — help people interested in getting a bike bus started at their school scout out the route and get organized.
• Route point person — Help manage the WhatsApp group for a specific route.
• Photography/video creation — Capture the energy of a ride for our socials and website (with proper photo consent). We especially need help putting together short marketing videos to help recruit riders!
• Event/outreach support — Help with things like Bike to School Day, Bike Month, or tabling at community events to spread the Bike Bus love.
• Bike safety clinics — There is interest in starting these. We have a sense of the curriculum and how the clinic would flow but are looking for volunteers to help bring these to life!
• Signage — you own or have a lead to a local printer who would be willing to donate some outdoor Bike Bus signs that can be installed near school bike racks.
• Website/tech support — Help maintain the site, forms, or automations behind the scenes. We are especially in need of people who can help us set up SMS text alerts as an alternative to WhatsApp so we can be as inclusive as possible (and for some students who have phones or smart watches, so they can get the alerts as well).
